Describe to us a typical day for you?

Wake up get breakfast, go into the stadium weigh in and monitor, exercises, individual review of the last game, weights session dependant on the day upper or lower, backs units like skills and back plays, snack, then team analysis again reviewing last weeks game and looking forward to the weekends game, then a team rugby session. Food before we leave. Then back home and chill.


How much time do you spend doing weights compared to doing cardio?

Depends on what part of the season we are in. Pre season its sort of 1 weights to 1 cardio session. So 4 weights sessions and 4 cardio/fitness sessions. During the season its more maintenance so 2 cardio to 1 weights. So maybe only 2/3 weights in the week but at least 5 rugby/cardio sessions.


How strict is your diet and how controlled is it?

I watch what I eat obviously to get the best out my body at the times I train and play. I avoid high fats and high sugars but try getting the carbs and proteins in a natural way before using supplements.


Which PowerBar products are your favourite and why?

Has to be the "all in one" shake. Helps me to recover, repair and build muscle after a heavy training session.


How do you stay relaxed in a high pressure situation during a match?

I don't really get a chance to relax during a game as its non stop. I find myself just taking a few deep breaths when I get a chance so I can go flat out when I get my opportunity.
